Fiddling for String Orchestra is a series of North American and British Isles fiddle tunes arranged for string orchestra. Book 1 contains 16 arrangements in grade levels I, II, II1/2, and III. Book 2 contains 14 arrangements in grade levels IV, V, and VI. These grade levels range from beginner/novice (level I), to advanced (level VI). Grade levels help the teacher/conductor know the general level of difficulty for each arrangement. However, these are suggestions and ultimately the teacher/conductor should decide which arrangements and grade levels best fit their student orchestras.

There is a Book 1 and a Book 2 for each orchestral instrument (Violin 1, Violin 2, Viola, Cello, and Bass), and also a Book 1 and a Book 2 score book for the teacher/conductor.
